OUR FACILITY

Ayrshire North’s campsite is Blair Activity Centre, which is located near Dalry. It provides physical and mental challenges that will enhance any youth group’s learning, physical and social development, as well as promote team building and other essential life skills.

It is situated within 8 acres of woodland with a secure 2 acre fenced area, making it both safe and private. There are also 250 acres of community woodland adjacent to the site which can be used for many activities.

Wigwams

We have 5 wigwams that each sleep 5 on a raised bed area which folds up to give a comfy seating area in the day.

Each wigwam has an electric panel heater (and fuse box) and storage area. One has a ramp to enable wheelchair access.

For the leaders, we have a wigwam that sleeps 4 with the luxury of an en-suite shower room.

Oor Chalet

Whether you book the wigwams, and/or choose to camp, you will also have the use of Oor Chalet which is our amenity block/wet weather accommodation.

It provides a fully fitted kitchen, camp store with space for tables and chairs for indoor dining or activities, large fridge & separate freezer, accessible toilet with shower, toilet facilities comprising 3 WC cubicles, 2 basins and 2 showers.

There are also 2 outside belfast sinks

Badger Hall

Built in 2018, our fully equipped activity centre is available for hire in addition to your residential booking.

It provides a large hall space, fully fitted kitchen equipped with a 7 ring double oven gas cooker, microwave oven, 2 fridges, utensils and plenty of crockery and cutlery, tables and chairs for indoor dining or activities, spacious entrance area for outdoor gear, ladies', gents' accessible toilets.

Booking this space for your residential will guarantee exclusive use of the site.

HOW TO GET HERE

The site is off of the B707 Dalry to Stewarton Road,
within the Pencot Community Wood. Postcode – KA24 4HE

Please note that the postcode given is for Pencott Cottage and not
the Activity Centre. Please enter through double silver gates on
the right before reaching the cottage.

There is suitable access for all vehicles, including large coaches,
with a turning area and ample parking for cars.

Please note there is a single track road to site (Please be aware of traffic flow during dropping off and picking up of girls to site)
